I am a trained Laughter Yoga leader and I offer Laughter Yoga sessions as a part of team-building exercises or bespoke packages incorporating group Life Coaching, Wellness sessions and Laughter Yoga. Sessions are ideally delivered in person.
Laughter yoga is a form of exercise that incorporates yogic breathing with laughter exercises. Dr Madan Kataria, a GP from India in 1995, developed it. The main idea is that
laughter helps promote your mental and emotional health.
Laughter yoga is for anyone who wants to have a good laugh. It is trendy in team building events, boosting the morale of a group, breaking the ice in certain challenging situations and many other benefits. It is especially helpful for people living a life of isolation after retirement, bereavement, relocation, etc.
No. You just have to be yourself and rest assured that you will not be judged. However, the session does involve some childlike playful activities and the more you give in the more you get back.
No. I am not a stand-up comedian, and the Laughter Yoga instructor does not have to be a funny person. I will take you through a structured session which includes, breathing exercises, laughter exercises, free laughter and mindfulness. I am not sure many people would like to hear my dad jokes anyway.
